These run for one hour, and during it, I will assess your current dietary habits and lifestyle (from your food diary and health questionnaire), chat about your health and wellness goals, explore your relationship with food, and educate you on any areas of nutrition we feel necessary.
Once I’ve collected this information I will create you a tailored treatment plan addressing what was discussed during the consultation.

While both Dietitians and Registered Nutritionists are qualified nutrition professionals, their training and areas of practice differ slightly.
Dietitians are registered health professionals who have completed a university degree in nutrition followed by a postgraduate qualification in dietetics. They are qualified to work in hospitals and other healthcare settings, providing medical nutrition therapy for a wide range of health conditions.
Nutritionists typically hold a certificate or university qualification in nutrition or a related science. However, the title "Nutritionist" is not regulated in New Zealand, meaning anyone can use it regardless of their qualifications.
Registered Nutritionists have completed a recognised university qualification in nutrition, have at least 2–3 years of professional experience, and meet the strict standards set by the Nutrition Society of New Zealand. They are required to follow a professional code of ethics and undertake ongoing professional development to maintain their registration.
As a Registered Nutritionist, I provide evidence-based nutrition advice tailored to your individual needs and work within my areas of expertise to help you achieve your health goals.
